Larry graduated as an electrical engineer from the University of Waterloo and has worked in information technology for most of his career, including many years at both Ford Motor Company and Celestica.

Larry moved to Canada from London, England as a young boy and grew up in the Scarborough community of Agincourt. He enjoyed the challenge and teamwork of sports and played competitive volleyball, basketball and rugby.
Larry met his bride-to-be, Jill Fewster-Yan, in grade five and they married and settled in West Rouge in 1987 where they raised their two daughters, Jennifer and Katie. Larry maintained his involvement in sports as a parent, coaching youth soccer and basketball with the West Rouge Soccer club and Scarborough Basketball Association respectively.
In his free time Larry enjoys the company of family and friends, playing keyboard in a band, golf, and running. You may have seen Larry running the streets and trails of West Rouge and beyond.
